Hemsley Fraser’s donation to local environment scheme

As part of our CSR commitment, at the end of last year, Hemsley Fraser made a donation to the local community environment scheme – Treasured Spaces at Saltmill Park.  The Treasured Spaces campaign raised a total of £9,000 for the Saltmill Park. The funding will be used to establish a 'Nature Zone' in the Park to encourage more families to use the space, and for them to be able to learn about and enjoy the wildlife that lives there. The Nature Zone will include the construction of a bird hide, installation of bug hotels, wildlife interpretation boards, benches and BBQ sites as well as native tree planting.

We have chosen to direct our donation towards the purchasing of trees and shrubs to develop the park and also maximise CO2 capture to help offset our corporate CO2 output. Our donation will result in at least 50 trees which equates to a carbon offsetting of 10 tonnes of carbon, or 20,000 miles by car.
